Student Grades

I am now maintaining Engrade to manage your grades. Each student will receive a unique ID number to check your grades at any time. Nobody else will be able to see your grades and you can use this tool to help you succeed. Also, for the parents, you can have a weekly progress report sent via email for a convenient update. Follow the link and sign up using the code I handed out to everyone in class.

Business Letter Example

Here is an example of a business letter to model yours after. The assignment is to write a business letter to your local congress person. Follow the link at the end of this post to download my example. Follow the format and the way my content is organized, but substitute your own ideas. Also you will find Congressman Dingell's information and how to contact him. Do not email the letter to him. Instead, bring it into class on Monday so we can make revisions.

Introduction

Hello students and parents! My name is Mr. Scott and this web blog will be a useful tool to succeeding in my social studies class. On this webpage you can see whats going on in class and what events are coming up. There will be a section that I will update weekly that will contain an electronic version of our assignments in class. You can download them and print them at home if you are absent or happen to lose the worksheet.
